Welcome to the terms and conditions page of Just That Company. Here you will find important information regarding our policies and guidelines that govern your use of our website and services.
Entertainer arrival time:
We will arrive 30/40 minutes prior to your party start time and will take 30 minutes set down after the party has finished. If your party is upstairs, please add ensure there is 45 minutes both for setting-up and down.
Party essentials:
Please be aware that we do not supply any of the following party items or services within our children's parties and it is therefore the responsibility of the party host to provide them where required: Party venue, Food, Decoration, Party-ware (plates, cups etc.)
Booking Terms & Conditions:
Thank you for booking “JUST THAT COMPANY” to provide entertainment at your children’s party.
To ensure everyone has the best time please find below what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
Zero Tolerance Policy:
At Just That Company, we understand that there will be the rare occasion that a booking, for whatever reason, doesn't go as planned and when this happens we will try and rectify any criticism as soon as possible to make it the enjoyable experience that it should be. This been said we will not tolerate aggression, defamation of character, being physically threatened, verbal abuse, or homophobic language when trying to resolve the matter. If this occurs we will leave the event for our own safety and if necessary call the Police. Likewise we expect our entertainers to maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times in the way they conduct themselves both verbally, physically whilst maintaining their entertainment dress code.
Maximum attendance:
For safety and enjoyment reasons, our maximum attendance numbers are 40.
Please note: We do not include parents, toddlers, or babes in arms in the attendance numbers.
Snow, Flooding and Hazardous Weather
Attending parties we are booked to entertain at, regardless of the weather conditions, is our highest priority. However, in the event of heavy snow, flooding or any other
hazardous weather condition, we need to balance this out with the welfare of our own safety.
If on the day of your party, we believe the weather conditions in your area pose a
potential risk to life, or if we cannot physically reach your party venue due to heavy
snow, flooding, or other hazardous weather condition, regrettably, we may have no
other option but to cancel your party.
Parking
As we have heavy equipment to carry into your party, please ensure there is a 'legal' parking space close to and with easy access to your venue. This includes parking being provided at venues/homes where there is only street parking or residents parking available. If there is no 'free' legal parking at your venue or you believe parking might be an issue, please have a chat with us at the time of booking or as soon as possible with suitable time before the date of your booking as this may delay the start of your booking with no refund for time lost when finishing at contracted time.
Venue smoke alarm and sound limiters:
If you have chosen a smoke machine for your party, please check to see if your party venue has a smoke alarm fitted, as the smoke machine may trigger this. If your party venue has a sound limiter fitted, we will do our best to work within the confines of the limiter. However, due to the natural noise of children within a party environment, we are unable to guarantee that any sound limiter will not be triggered, which may result in the power being temporarily cut. The power should then return within a few minutes. Please check with your venue with regards to any sound limiter and how they operate.
Date, Time, and Venue:
The entertainment will take place on the day, at the time and at the place set out in our written confirmation. If any of these details are incorrect or you need to make any changes, please contact us ASAP.
Photographic/Video Recordings
You are welcome to take as many photographs or audio/video recordings of the entertainment as you like as long as you don’t get in our way or trample over the kids to snap the perfect photo.
If any of these images or recordings are to be used in the public domain (such as social media etc) please share the love and include our details too such as a link to my website or Facebook page.
Guests’ arrival time:
Guests often like to arrive earlier than the invitation start time to offer “help” but please try and ensure guests arrive at the allocated start time to ensure they arrive when everything is ready to enjoy the full party affect.
Cancelations:
We get busy and often need to turn away disappointed families who wanted us for their party on the same day that we are committed to yours, so, if you really do need to cancel, please give us as much notice as possible so that we can try to fill the date.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to attend (e.g. due to ill health etc) we will let you know as soon as humanly possible AND make every effort to organise a suitable replacement.
Prizes:
We supply all the party prizes including Love Hearts in the Pass the Parcel game. Love Hearts have no artificial colours, are gluten free and vegan friendly. Should you or your guests have any food allergies or are unable to eat certain ingredients due to religious reasons, please notify us as soon as possible.
Noise Makers:
If you are planning to have these, please only hand them out at the very end of your party or put them in their party bags to take home. NEVER have noise makers/blowers, whistles, party poppers etc in sight of the children during the party and certainly not during the live show because these fun items can quickly cause disruption.
Child Supervision:
We are great with children of all ages, but we are children’s entertainer and although are DBS checked we are not childminders therefore for safeguarding purposes please make sure there are always at least 2 suitable adult supervision whilst I’m entertaining. This is especially important for toddlers (children under 4 years old).
Other Activities
We’ve entertained at many parties so if you’re thinking about including any additional entertainment/activities (i.e. bouncy castles, face painters, character appearances) it’s a particularly good idea to chat with me first so that we can suggest the best way that we can entertain alongside such activities.
Venue and Safety Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that the activity can be safely and practically conducted at your chosen venue. This includes verifying that the placement of the entertainer, necessary requirements, and all safety precautions have been addressed in the risk assessment.
Safety and Guest Conduct:
Full payment will be due if the entertainer is unable to start or must stop their performance due to unsafe venue conditions, improper placement, or inappropriate guest behaviour. Examples include unsafe proximity to roads or moving objects, lack of a secure space, or the entertainer feeling threatened.
Inclusivity:
To ensure that all guests feel safe to enjoy the party experience a social story can be provided, on request, prior to the party to share with guests, Makaton signs and symbols can be used during the party and a quiet area can be set up with fidgets and colouring. Please let us know if this is required when booking or if there are any needs, we should be aware of so that everyone can join in whether it be needing the music to be played at a lower level or any songs that my trigger dysregulation.
Food and birthday cake:
If your party is for 2 hours, we will stop halfway through the party to allow the children a 20 - 30-minute food break and to sing Happy Birthday to the birthday child. During this time, we will do balloon twisting or glitter tattoos depending on the chosen option.
In a 90-minute party we entertain for the first hour and a half and then leave the final half an hour for guests to eat whilst we pack away,
Balloons:
The balloons we use to twist with are made from latex. Should you or your guests have an allergy to latex please let us know so we can suggest an alternative activity or ways to keep the guests affected by latex safe.
Payment
As much as we love entertaining and have fun whilst doing it, we do need to get paid to cover our income tax, national insurance, and our bills in general. Please make sure you’ve got the full payment available for us on the day either in cash or via bank transfer.
Refund Policy:
Full payments are non-refundable. However, in the rare event that the entertainer is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances—such as force majeure, traffic disruptions, vehicle breakdowns, or government-imposed lockdowns—a full refund will be issued. Please note that refunds will not be provided if you cancel your event or if incorrect address details, dates, or times are provided, resulting in our inability to attend.
Risks assessments, PLI, PAT and DBS certificates can be viewed on requested.
